Can you explain the jargon please?
Hosting
Once your website is designed, you’ll need somewhere to put it online so people can access it
Hosting is usually done in a datacentre, essentially a large factory full of super fast computers, ready to serve up your website whenever someone visits the servers IP address
Domains
Domains exist because your customers won’t want to remember a long server IP address!
Instead a Domain is a nice “friendly” name that sits over the top of the server address; traditionally www.mycompanyname.com
Emails
Everyone can go get a free email from Gmail or hotmail these days, but if you have a cool domain, you’ll want an email address to match
Sadly it’s not as simple to set one of these up, as you’ll need an email server setup… I’ve got your back!
