Booking, Membership and Client Portals

Online booking, membership sites and private client portals, built on open-source software, which means you own the code outright and never get locked into a single provider. I build the system, you run it.

What I Build

📅 Online Booking

Tired of going back and forth over email to book appointments? Let customers book themselves online, pay at the time of booking, and have it sync straight to your calendar.

  • Available slots visible to customers
  • Payments taken at time of booking
  • Calendar sync (Google, Outlook)
  • Automated reminders reduce no-shows
  • Less time on admin, more time on the work that matters

🔒 Membership Sites

Let customers sign up and pay for membership online, then log into a private portal to access exclusive content.

  • Member sign-up with payment
  • Private portal for members only
  • Individual documents and content per member
  • Save money on printing and postage

🗂️ Client Portals

Give clients or staff their own login, with everything they need in one place instead of scattered across email threads and shared drives.

  • Individual logins for clients or staff
  • Documents, invoices and files per person
  • Role-based access, so people see only what they should
  • Fewer "can you send that over again" emails

💳 Payments

Taking payments is part of booking and membership, not a product on its own. Stripe or PayPal, set up properly and handed over with the rest of the system.

  • Stripe and PayPal
  • Recurring subscriptions for memberships
  • Payment taken at the point of booking
  • No money held by me: it goes to your account

What I Don't Build

Payments, booking and memberships built and handed over. I build the system, you run it. If you need a full online shop with stock control and order fulfilment, I'm not the right fit and I'll point you at the platform that is.

Running a shop means being attached to someone else's stock, orders, refunds and delivery queries for good, and that is not work I can do well part time. Existing store clients are looked after exactly as before, and I'm happy to recommend people who do this properly.

What Makes This Different

You're in Control

You own your platform outright. No lock-in, no contracts. Run it yourself, or I'll handle the hosting for you.

Built Solo, No Agency Overhead

You work directly with the person writing the code. There's no account manager, no sales team and no agency overhead: so more of what you pay goes into the build itself.

Looks Like Your Brand

Fully customisable to fit your brand. No boring templates: your platform will look like it belongs to your business.

Full Documentation

Detailed how-to guides and video tutorials so you know exactly how to manage your platform day-to-day.

Face-to-Face Service

I'll come to you for requirements gathering and final setup. Or video call if you're further afield. Either way, a real person who knows your project.

Delivered on Time

10+ years of delivering software solutions means I know how to scope a project properly. Requirements are agreed upfront, costs are fixed, and you'll know where we are every step of the way.

Platform Pricing

Fixed prices, agreed before I start building.

Starter Platform

From£3,950

Typical projects £3,950–£5,500

  • One revenue stream: booking, membership or a client portal
  • Up to 30 services, sessions or member records
  • Stripe or PayPal payments
  • Branded design, no templates
  • Training, documentation and video guides
Start With This

Larger or longer builds, including retained work, are quoted individually.

System Care

System Care: hosting, backups, monitoring, security updates and 3 hours of development a month £250/mo
Additional work outside the agreed scope £450/day

One care plan at one price for everything I build and host, whether it's a website platform or a custom system. Anything past the three hours is quoted at the day rate first, then done.

What Moves the Price

Every platform is different, so here's the honest version of what changes the number.

What Pushes It Up

  • Migrating data from a system you already use
  • Multiple payment providers or currencies
  • Complex booking or membership rules
  • Bookings that work differently for different services
  • Several third-party integrations at once

What Keeps It Down

  • Starting with a single revenue stream
  • Standard payments through Stripe or PayPal
  • You supply the content, images and pricing
  • Adding features after launch, once you know what you need
  • Agreeing the scope properly before anything is built

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a booking or membership platform cost?

A starter booking system or membership site begins at £3,950. A full platform with memberships, role-based access and integrations typically lands between £6,500 and £9,500, and larger builds are quoted individually. I agree the scope and the price before anything is built, and it won't change once we start.

What does ongoing support cost?

System Care is £250/month, covering hosting, backups, monitoring, security updates and up to 3 hours of development time each month. It's entirely optional: you can also run the platform yourself, or buy time as and when you need it at £450/day.

Can I manage bookings and members myself?

Absolutely. You'll have full control to add and edit services, set your availability, change prices, manage members and handle refunds. I'll provide documentation and video guides to walk you through everything.

What payment methods do you support?

Stripe (credit and debit cards) and PayPal. Both are integrated securely. Standard transaction fees from each provider apply.

What if I already have a platform?

I can work with existing platforms too. If you need a fix for an immediate problem, or want to migrate to something better, I'm happy to help.

"Luke designed our website, complete with online shop: we couldn't be happier. He is an utter perfectionist, and grasped our vision straightaway."

Laurie Fermor, Co-Owner, Perry Court Farm

"Working with Luke was great. Every time I thought there was an insurmountable challenge Luke went away, did a bit of research and came back to me very quickly with a solution. I'm so impressed."
